Barcelona topped Juventus 3-1 in Berlin last night to win the Champions League for the fourth time in the last 10 years and their first since 2011.
They took the lead at the Olympiastadion after just four minutes, with Croatian international midfielder Ivan Rakitic finishing off a free-flowing team move.
The Spaniards remained ahead at the break, but Juventus managed to draw level 10 minutes into the second-half, Alvaro Morata tapping in after Marc-Andre Ter Stegen parried Carlos Tevez’s shot.
They were only level, however, for around 15 minutes, as Luis Suarez tapped in from close range after Gianluigi Buffon parried a Lionel Messi shot, and then Neymar made sure of the victory in the last minute of injury time.
The game saw Xavi come on for the last 12 minutes or so in his last ever Barcelona game, whilst it could have been the last time Andrea Pirlo plays for Juventus, with a move to the MLS in the offing.
